Issues are for problems with the program code. This isn't a problem with the program, because it's expected that it won't load a save that is truncated. I'm moving this to a Discussion instead since it's a recovery request. |

There are not multiple slots in a Gen9 save file. PKHeX does not support ROM Hacks. Try with your save file from your Nintendo Switch before trying to play & cheat on an emulator. |

Problem: My Pokemon Violet save was truncated mid-write after a PC crash while using Ryujinx 21.0.1. PKHeX 20260131 rejects it with "Attempted to load an unsupported file type/size".
File details:
Actual size: 4,436,588 bytes (0x43B26C)
Expected size: 4,456,448 bytes (0x440000)
Missing: 19,860 bytes from end of slot 2
Slot 1 (0x0 to 0x220000) appears fully intact
Request: Is there any way for PKHeX to load just slot 1, or ignore the truncated slot 2? I have completed most of the game including the championship league and would be devastated to lose this progress.
I can attach the save file if helpful.
